Finally back to Powell!

Wow! It has been so long since we have made it to Powell. Last summer I was well into my second trimester with Reiley and Neal spent the majority of the summer recording the new album "Life In Between" up in Portland. I sure as hell was not going without him. Who else would I complain about the heat to?

I can't quit remember if we went the year before, I am thinking no. For those of you who don't know how our love came about, I think it's pretty safe to say we really fell in love in 2004 when we had JUST started dating, I think it was our second date that my dad invited Neal as his guest to Powell. Um Hello?

So, we had an incredible time together and came home completly in love, 6 months later we were engaged, a year later married, 2 years later.....we have a baby!

So here we are! Finally able to go back to our Loveland, 110* outside with a 7 month old baby! We were there for 4 days and really had a great time! The first 2 days were so hard for Rei but he got used to the heat by the 3rd day and had a blast(I think)

Before we went I got a fun little tube for Reiley and he enjoyed it so much while we were there he actually fell asleep in it on the shore of the beach. If he wasn't asleep he was kicking his feet as hard as he could ready to take a plunge into the lake. Better be keepin' a very close eye on him! He loves the water!

Lifejacket...not so much!

On our last day Neal and I got to relax a bit since the family decided to just beach it and play. So we kicked back a few and got talked into tubing. I hate tubing.....but it's so fun!

We have had such a fun summer being a new family! Can't wait to get Reiley on that tube!
