Reileys' 1st trip to the Zoo and Discovery Gateway!

If Rei could talk he would tell you how much fun he had this weekend! He had his first trip to the zoo, don't think he's old enough yet, and a trip to the Discovery Gateway, I think that was his favorite place!

I was a little bummed at the zoo because they have changed the tiger exhibit making it very hard to see the tigers, especially for the little people. Granted they were sleeping, but laying in such thick grass you could not see them at all. They also did not have any lions right now either. I really wanted Reiley to see the cats as he is so fascinated by Mazzy, he laughs every time he sees her and looks for her all the time, so I thought he would get a kick out of the huge Mazzys'! The only thing he really cared about was the Llama, Zebra and Giraffe. Probably because they were the only animals big enough to catch his attention but it was still fun.

Today I was craving Sushi and wanted to get Rei out of the house since it has cooled off a little so I decided we would go to the Gateway. Anytime we are anywhere he needs to be touching EVERYTHING so it was time to take him to his own little playland. He was so happy to get his dirty little hands on everything, even enjoyed a ride on a little dog teeter-totter. He was so cute on the dog I had to take a video.

Sorry it's sideways on some parts, I was holding the camera and the dog so he wouldn't fall off. See if you can tell when he is excited.

He has been my little buddy and has been such a good boy with Neal being gone. How lucky am I to have the worlds cutest baby!

Too much fun! Thats a bummer about the tigers. Maybe a good thing, my Dad back in the 70's went to the zoo and the Tigers were right up to the fence. He went to take a piture and it peed on him and his camera. CRIPES! Anyway, he sure is cute! I am so glad you have a blog so we can watch his progress!
